BECOMING A MEMBER

CERTIFIED MEMBER REQUIREMENTS

The College of Animal Chiropractors proudly lists those professionals who have successfully met certification requirements in both written knowledge and practical competency. A member must:

  • Be a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic or Veterinary Medicine in good standing and authorized to practice said profession by their respective licensing boards.
  • Have successfully completed post-graduate animal chiropractic/veterinary spinal manipulation training approved by the College of Animal Chiropractors (CoAC); the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA) or the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association (IVCA).
  • Fulfil requirements for membership as outlined in the Bylaws.
  • Successfully complete a Certification Examination provided by the College. This examination takes into consideration, not only didactic and basic knowledge, but techniques and practicums as well.

To become a member of the College of Animal Chiropractors, please review the requirements set forth by the Board of Directors.  The new membership fee is $325.  To apply for a new membership, please proceed to the Payment Gateway by clicking the button below.  You will then be redirected to our new, secure, online application form.

Once the form is received, it will be reviewed and you will be contacted via email as soon as possible.  Please be sure we have your accurate email address and contact information.

Currently, we are conducting our testing during the last day of the last scheduled module of the Animal Chiropractic or VSMT program of those schools that requests us to provide the CoAC test. There is no practical component to the CoAC exam provided you have successfully completed the practical component of an accredited animal chiropractic program. See list of Approved Programs.

Other exam locations and times are subject to proctor availability. Please contact us should you wish to arrange an alternate time or location.
